Façade of my calm!

Aston kamunde

Watching the sun go down like a dying amber,
I lay still… lost in thoughts,
As I listen to the sounds of the fading day,
A steady rhythm to the pattern that am accustomed to,

They say life is like a flower,
Beautiful, fragile and with a delicious perfume,
But is it true?
Are there invisible thorns underneath it all?

Is life a vocation?
An ephemeral ambition that everyone has?
But only a few are lucky to realize?
Leaving the hearts of many irreparably damaged?

I feel for my broken heart,
A heart that has experienced the worst crushing,
All innocence taken away,
And delicate defenses gone and some left vulnerable,

Perhaps with the reminiscent of the day,
I should be more careful, resilient and effervescent tomorrow,
And like the vision in my dreams,
Realize my vacation and enjoy the adventures of life!

Where Art Thou?

Aston kamunde

Smooth-rocks-sunset

Tonight I will wait patiently for the clear promising sky,

For the falling star, to make a wish yet again,

The white moon and frozen stars will be my faithful witnesses,

Where Art Thou? Please answer the calls of my heart!

I am a dreamer and a believer in endless love,

A dreamer of all the things that we could be, could share!

Am all human and I need love, I need to be loved even more!

Where Art Thou? Am tired of counting the stars alone!

The Silly and sometimes annoying games of love are lacking,

In my plain and lonely life that is heavy with expectation,

Am dropping all my resistance and opening my heart for you,

Where Art Thou? There is so much adventure for us to see, to explore!

I will wait in this all consuming night that is full of hope,

To feel and taste…

Dear Mum

Aston kamunde

You are the epitome of all vows kept intact,

The recognition of all lost promise and soft touch,

Any faintest glow from you is all comforting refuge,

From your sweet face that is sweetened by all love of the sun

Dear mama, you are the winking light that moves across the frozen stars,

You are an irrepressible delight full of refinement in all that makes human,

Enthusiasm lifts my feathery heart whenever I see your flawless beauty,

That forces me to submit to your attention with renewed palpable pleasure

In the storms of this world, you always find a way forward,

With an ineffable quality that no any word can describe,

Bringing with it golden glory of the true nature of mind,

You make this real uncanny world become achingly beautiful

Dear mum, you inspire in me a curious but hopeful feeling,

That I have the power to overcome all…

Why?

The light prickled at her tiny, fragile face,

Tears were freely dripping her childish cheeks,

They guttered beneath her innocent and pleading eyes,

The air was getting out of her lungs, fast

I desperately searched for words, a word of comfort,

But they had fallen away the moment I met her stare,

She was young and her mysteries only deepened mine,

My soul was getting heavy and was causing tremors in me

What could I say to her?

Did she expect I had the meaning of pain?

I was tempted to look for meaning, any meaning

But was that not why she was crying? Coz of a lie?

Time recedes but she has plenty of it ahead her,

To live the horrors of this cold, ungiving, gray world,

Slowly like a deep river,

That realization forced my eyes to expel cascades of tears

I wished the tenderness of life was brought…

Hold Me…

Aston kamunde

IMG_1632-3674

Hold me…
And wash away my silly and annoying awkwardness,
That is overgrown with irrelevant and tiresome details,
Of how things should be

I need you to hold me…
To take away my loneliness and silence,
I need time to stop my heart and feel all things,
That I wish, hope and dream of, only in an instant

Please hold me and trap my searching soul,
That anticipates, yearns and desires,
To dance like trees and flowers in the rain,
I want that moment to sink deep in my veins

Hold me, my dear…
Let my passion flow through you like a river,
I need to embrace a clear vision of true beauty,
To explore and discover new possibilities in your arms

In your arms,
I will swim in the stars and the clear moon,
I will give myself freely to you,
I will be that innocent leaf carried by…

Miseries of Happiness

Aston kamunde

Collection of hundreds of Free Inspiring Quotes from all over the world. Collection of hundreds of Free Inspiring Quotes from all over the world.

Happiness is just but a suspicious fleeting feeling,

A seduction of false misconception of all things,

That frets with a simple touch of chaos,

A stabbing reality that brings a strange order

It is the neglected path that brings new eyes to how wrong things are,

A path that conveys a sense of loss and of desperate longing,

It is the path of recognition of vows not kept and of lost promises,

A path of defenselessness that suffocates under the sickly sweet despair

Happiness is the desperate longing of a different kind of life,

A life that is full of adoration colored by a utopian of all sorts,

A life that seeks to make meaning in a different and diversified ways,

A life that is met with cold cruel eyes as old as time itself

Love is tender…

Aged Sorrow

Aston kamunde

27

The fitful breeze caressed my bruised body,
And a funnel of dead leaves spun across the street,
They in fact seemed earth bound just like me,
Deeply rooted in a black hole of chaos

The more I tried to understand, the more I got lost,
All good memory had been bleached pale by recent events,
I could not speak as my mouth had gone soft with self-pity,
My heart conveyed a sense of loss and of longing

They say wisdom is born in the deepest part of the heart,
But mine was filled with the ultimate hunger of a black widow,
Always in search for that penultimate moment to squeeze out all pain,
Sleep deprivation had melted the edge off my balance

This old spell had landed me in an unknown place,
My eyes seemed bewildered and exhausted as if I’d been walking a thousand journeys,
The hills rose to…
